I grew up listening to Whitney Houston CDs. I remember my mom would have them playing in the car, when she would come pick me up from elementary school, and we would sing along together at the top of our lungs even though neither of our voices could match up to even a quarter of the greatness that was Whitney’s vocal chords. I knew and loved all her songs, because not only were they beautiful, but they were inspiring. They held messages, and even if you were a kid, and didn’t know much about the love between a man and a woman, you could still take something out of it. After a while we just never heard much from her anymore and then we kind of just forgot…It sucks that one has to die, to be remembered. People never remember the good that you do. All they see is the bad, and are quick to judge and condemn you for it, forgetting that not one us is perfect. Her passing is a sad loss. She will not only be missed today, she’s always been missed, today just made it more permanent. I hope her last days were filled with love, and her loved ones told her that they loved her. We are all visitors on this earth. None of us are here to stay, one day God calls us back. So while we are here, while we meet people and love and cherish them, don’t forget to tell them that you love them..because one day they’ll be called back
